I have now used this product for several projects and can say it does everything the pictures show and more. If you have a project where you need an extra hand and this happens to you quite often, it will be a great investment and fix to those frustrating situations. I have used it for cutting logs (without the log attachment), hold lumber (for cutting or a 2 x 4 for an extra hand when installing crown molding), sharpen tools, etc. Anything a vice can do this can do and much more.
Keep in mind that it is quite heavy and this may be a deterent at times when you don't want to lug it around, but usually when I try doing without I end up using it anyway. The fact is, if you want it to be able to hold heavy things then it too has to be heavy. For those of you who own a Little Giant ladder system you know that it can be heavy to move around, but when you're standing on it you feel like your standing on something solid. This clamp/sawhorse is equivalent to that same feeling of comfort and security. The clamping power and stablilty is pretty amazing.
One other thing I might add is that it can be a little clumsy folding it up, mainly due to the weight, but once you figure out a method that is easy for you it won't be a problem. I tend to tip it over on the two legged end and fold the legs in and up. The majority of the weight is the horizontal portion. Do not try and be slick and fold the legs first or else you might just be dropping it on your foot like me. I say all this because the instructions are weak at best, but if your a guy you don't need instructions anyway right?

The Rockwell Jawhorse is built like a tank. I know, I already said that, but it bears repeating. Such a joy to find a product made of metal, not that plastic is bad for some things, but there are no corners cut here; nothing cheap or flimsy. The design makes it easy to use and workable by one person, which makes it a great asset to the one-man/woman worker/craftsman etc.
Only thing that may have made it 'perfect' (if there is such a thing) would be the capability (out of the box) to open wide enough to grasp a sheet of plywood/paneling out of the box, instead of having to purchase an extension that is nearly a third of the street cost of the original jawhorse. Think about it, this product is designed and marketed to home handi-folks, wood-workers, and contractors. Who of those don't deal with 4x8 sheets of material often? I can see the welding, and round wood and other specialty jaws etc, but having to pay extra for a 48" wide 'jaw' is a shame.
That minor rant aside, the Rockwell Jawhorse is a must have tool, especially for those who work alone on jobs, or in their own workshop. Mine has been used daily since it was delivered a couple of weeks ago.

This is a great product. It performs as advertised, it really is like having an extra pair of hands. I recently built a large workbench and was able to do so without any help from my wife or son. I had to elevate the partially completed bench to attach the legs and the Jawhorse held it in place easily. I wish I would have found this product years ago as it would have saved my wife a lot of grief from listening to me rant and rave.

WORKS VERY WELL. ONE OF MY PROJECTS WAS TO STAIN 2 BIFOLD 36X72 INCH DOORS. THE JAWHORSE HELD THE DOORS EVEN WHEN I HAD THEM OFFSET FROM THEIR BALANCE POINT. I DIDN'T NEED ANOTHER PERSON TO HELP SET THE DOORS IN PLACE. WORKS GREAT!
